A Pressure Sensitive Labeler uses "sticker" labels that peel off of a web reel, and is applied to your container directly without the need for an external glue system.

There are many factors that go into the accuracy of placing a label. Below is a list of identified factors that can affect label placement: Label Staging Accuracy The inherent ability of the web drive unit to consistently advance and stage the label at the point of application throughout its full range of speed. K2 is able to provide this with our unique unwind/rewind disk setup, as well as driving the web throughout other parts in the web path. Container Staging Accuracy The ability to contain and control the container being labeled is paramount to proper application of the label. K2 achieves this by capturing the container in our rotary system from both the top and bottom of the container through the use of customized bottle plates and centering bells. Container & Label Tolerances Not within K2 Engineering's ability to control, but something to be mindful of when choosing your container and label vendors. K2 Engineering's rotary labeling machines are more tolerant of container variances due to our superior container control, but a container or label being undersized/oversized will influence the placement of a label. Interaction Between Containers & Labels Another facctor that is outside of K2 Engineering's control, but is important to consider when again selecting your container and label suppliers. Label manufacturers will coordinate with you to determine the proper label that will match your container. Occasionally it may take several attempts to find the most compatible bottle/label combination. We recommend that you delay the purchase of large amounts of labels until we have had the opportunity to test your container/label combination on our labeler. K2 Engineering's Label Placement Guarantee • Application Height Labels will be applied within ±1.0 mm (standard deviation) of the specified application height. • Horizontal Placement (Rotary Labelers) Labels will be applied within ±0.5 mm (standard deviation) of their specified position on the container. • Horizontal Placement (In-line Labelers) Labels will be applied within ±0.75 mm (standard deviation) of their specified position on the container. • Vertical Alignment of Super Imposed Labels Will not exceed ±1.0 mm (standard deviation) per label which translates to a total deviation of 1mm from their common vertical centerline. • Lap Registration (Rotary Labelers) A±1.0 mm (standard deviation) registration will be maintained at the overlap on full wrap label applications. • Lap Registration (In-line Labelers) A±1.25 mm (standard deviation) registration will be maintained at the overlap on full wrap label applications. • Label Tilt The label horizontal axis will not deviate more than 1o (standard deviation) from true horizontal.

Aside from the adjustable mounting plate, a K2 Pressure Sensitive Head is able to be adjusted horizontally, vertically, and angularly to provide the correct label application position. For multiple setups we have meters that designate the heads position so that each proper location can be replicated.

The tallest web height that a K2 machine can handle is 7".

Not difficult at all! Pressure Sensitive machines will require label roll changes as the roll begins to run out of labels, but minor cleaning is all that is typically required.
